These Terms govern your use of sellexa.app and the marketplace services we provide there. By creating an account or by browsing the site you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Sellexa is a cultural-commerce marketplace. Verified UK-based sellers list authentic cultural products (food, fashion, beauty, homeware, groceries, jewellery, music, books); UK buyers purchase those products through Sellexa.
Sellexa provides the platform, the messaging layer, and the payments and delivery integrations. Each contract of sale is between the buyer and the seller. Sellexa is not a party to that contract and does not own or warehouse the goods.
You may use Sellexa for buying and selling lawful goods and for communicating with other users about those transactions. You must follow our Community Guidelines in every interaction.
You must not:
When you place an order, you enter into a contract of sale with the seller. You have the statutory rights set out in the Returns & Refunds Policy (Consumer Rights Act 2015 + Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) and the platform-policy protections in the Buyer Protection Policy.
Payments are processed by Stripe Payments UK Limited. Your payment-card details are handled by Stripe; Sellexa does not store them.
Selling is governed by the Seller Agreement, the Fees & Payouts Policy, and the Seller Misconduct & Enforcement Policy. Food sellers also see the Food Sellers Policy.
The Sellexa platform, brand, code, and design are owned by Sellexa Limited and protected by UK and international IP law (including the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988). You retain ownership of content you post; you grant Sellexa a non-exclusive licence to display and promote it as part of operating the platform.
To report alleged infringement, see the Intellectual Property Policy (designated contact: ip@sellexa.app).
How we handle personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy (UK GDPR + Data Protection Act 2018). Cookies are covered in the Cookie Policy.
We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms or any policy linked from them, where required by law, or where there is a credible safety risk. We will give reasoned notice in line with the Seller Misconduct & Enforcement Policy (sellers) or the Community Guidelines (buyers).
You can close your account at any time, see Settings → Delete account or email support@sellexa.app. We retain certain data after closure for legal and accounting reasons (see Privacy Policy §Retention).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Sellexa's liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of the terms implied by section 2 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 (or its consumer-law equivalents), or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English or Northern Irish law. Buyers' statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by these Terms.
Subject to that, Sellexa is not liable for: the conduct of sellers or buyers; the quality, safety, or legality of goods listed; loss of profit, business, goodwill, or anticipated savings; or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total aggregate liability to a buyer in any 12-month period is capped at the total amount the buyer paid through Sellexa in that 12-month period; for sellers, the cap is the total commission paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
We may update these Terms. Material changes (anything that affects your rights or obligations) take effect at least 30 days after we notify you in-app and by email. Minor or clarifying changes may take effect immediately. The current version is always available at sellexa.app/legal/terms; the "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the version in force.
If you have a complaint about Sellexa, please use the Complaints Policy. Our designated ADR provider for UK consumer disputes is RetailADR.
These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising under them are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. Subject to the ADR route in the Complaints Policy, the courts of Northern Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. UK consumers retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer-protection rules in the part of the UK where they live.
